I've been standing next to a 300hp diesel when a rod let loose and decided to redecorate the side of the block. Needed a clean pair of shorts after that one

That was a decent sized fire ball. Couldn't tell if they were operating the truck remotely or not.

Wasn't even moving... Just sitting there and tossing it's guts.....Oh well. Black smoke is indicative of unburned / partially burned diesel fuel.

My 97 F350 diesel has a Gale Banks kit on it. Makes plenty of power (for me) and hardly smokes at all under load, but then I live in the real world.
