I was sawmilling yesterday (3 day job) when the customer's boss called and told him to report to work today. He has an "oil patch" job, 14 on and 14 off, and I reckon that his relief had to leave. Anyway, I'll be able to go back later and finish the job, but for today and tomorrow it put me out of work.

I had just read that they are shut down already...they were overrun with orders. They hope to re-open gradually. ;)

Just came across this entrepreneurial opportunist.

What a great idea...why didn't I think of it? :D

Forest products and lumber manufacture is considered "essential" so I am still working and sawing.

The first picture is of the logs, second is Grandson rolling a log, and third the finished product consisting of 2X4's, 2X6's, & 2X10's totaling 3577 board feet. Yes, that stack of lumber came from those logs. ;)

The customer is building barn and was very pleased.

It was very hard for me to stay afloat during the pandemic because my wife and I took out a loan shortly before the pandemic to open a cafe. I was afraid that I would not be able to make my loan payments on time and that my credit score would deteriorate. But the bank where we took the loan approved my request to reduce my monthly payment. Our situation was saved by the proper distribution of finances and help from the bank where our account was opened. You can also choose the best bank account for your business, depending on what you do. I advise you to be careful so that you will not have the same problems as I did in the future.

I smell mechanically processed meat stuffed into blue cans with a pull-top lid.
