Ok so before people start telling me it was a stupid idea.. the main reason I did this was because I enjoy fabrication work and more or less just wanted to see IF it would be possible and how hard it would be to do. I also wanted to be one of the first guys to ever put a stack pipe on a Kubota bx ;)

If you guys have comments, questions, or suggestions feel free to comment down below either on the video or on this thread and I’ll make sure to get back to you. I will see your comments quicker if you place them under the video on YouTube tho.

Well I'd have to be taller to get the fumes outta my nose but I understand the need to make stuff !!
I made a SSQA selfpowered dual snowblower last summer...still instorage..not enough snow to test this Winter....maybe $500 in parts so not a huge hit to the wallet.

Whatever blows your dress up I guess. Needs a chrome pipe though.....

As usual, pictures are way too big so I didn't bother looking much. Will be glad when the owners upgrade this forum to auto resize pictures.

Until then people should use discretion in posting pictures not that it will ever happen.

Diesel particulates...they taste great and are less filling!

Im hoping for your neighbors sake you still have a muffler hidden somewhere under there.

Polished stainless steel or chrome would look great.

OK. As long as it makes you happy.

But, If your gonna do it, then do it right and use a longer pipe to catch those spider webs when traveling thru the woods. :D

Hey it is your tractor you mod it any way you like :D . Other than a chrome stack you might think about doing a 90 on top to blow the fumes away from your face, and if she sits out side maybe a rain cap,, other wise it looks good

If I ever modify the exhaust on my tractor, it will involve a TURBO.

I hope so too. A naturally aspirated straight piped diesel has to be one of the most obnoxious sounds made.

needs a chrome pipe. Right now it looks like a Midas Muffler reject,:D

Looks great. Had a Bolens H1502 that had a stack pipe. Makes a smaller tractor look tough like the big boys.

His muffler is still there, he just rotated it to change the direction. It appears the 'tail pipe' is longer and it may even be quieter. It does need a flapper though.

I have a Deutz 6206 tractor, and the hood swings up and the exhaust sticks up through it. The exhaust manifold points up with a flange X plain end pipe about 6" long. The exhaust riser just fits over that plain end. Just pick up the pipe (which has a curved top end) and the hood opens.

The exhaust pipe fits close enough to the OD of the exhaust sleeve there is no wiggle to it.

Yep, there will be a nice big hole there after a few hours of operation on a nice hot day this coming summer.
Thats right, it's a plastic hood.....

On my cab M, the exhaust stack comes up through the hood but there is a metal 'foot' attached to the pipe so when you raise the hood, the metal foot stays in place and the 'hole where it fits goes up with the hood and allows the hood to clear the pipe in the raised position... but then my hood (bonnet) is metal, not plastic.

On my open station it has the optional 'down exhaust' a popular option for a dairy farm, where the exhaust comes directly down from the muffler which sits directly over the turbo (on both M's) and exits right in front of the loader upright. I prefer that actually. I find the vertical pipe to be in my line of sight once in a while.

I think he's wanting the 'big tractor' look myself but I also think the hot exhaust pipe will cause issues with the plastic hood.....:D

I'd say that covers it nicely. Solution is of course... Buy a big tractor with a vertical exhaust from the factory....:)
