Any tips on freeing these up? They've been soaking in carb cleaner for 2 days but I can't get them to budge at all!
He said Carb cleaner, not any better than Brake cleaner for this kind of an operation.Kind of surprised when the OP stated brake cleaner. Brake Cleaner has no penetrating / lubricating value what so ever.
I always use the acetone / atf mix. I have plenty of acetone around. I use it for pre cleaning aluminum prior to TIG welding.
All those Mary Kay parties he had to get that second M series.Flip isn’t gonna tell you but he also found the acetone/atv mixture will remove toe-nail polish on saturday nites before church on Sunday. Dont know how he discovered that....
That is correct. Now I have 2 Mary Kay pink units.....All those Mary Kay parties he had to get that second M series.
Yeah, ours was around 500 IIRC and it is big enough to drop a head into.Roger that. I looked up ultrasonic cleaners and am seeing 300+, and they are a separate unit, I can't just plop it into the bucket i'm already using?
Out of my price range =( too bad, sounded cool!
99% common sense there. I guess common sense is a rarity today....Just a word of caution on acetone and atf. NO OPEN FLAMES>> Of any kind in the area or risk a big flame.

CLR, or ZEP Calcium, Lime, rust remover will also do the same thing, for cheap. When the part can be submerged in a container, such as this case and highly corroded, has anyone used a product like Evapo-Rust or similar?
