I just bought the little tractor and have no idea what year it might be. Any idea years of production? It appears to me that the B7100 replaced it, am I correct? Also, it has a midmount mower, is it shaft or belt driven. I haven't seen the unit yet. It is a 48" mower. How reliable are they and how well do they work.

Thanks in advance.

Someone may be able to provide an exact answer, but that won't be me. Best I can do for you is suggest that you check the outside of the rear wheel to see if there isn't a date stamped in it --- that'll be close.

I just found a problem with the front axle pivot assembly. It appears to me that the differential/axle assembly should only rock side to side, however, when the steering wheel is turned, the differential/axle assembly appears to move backward on the pivot pin nearly 1/4" or possibly more. It seems like a bushing or two is missing, perhaps worn out to the point where nothing is left.

Does anyone have an exploded parts view of the assembly?

Are any of you familiar with the problem?

As the whole axle and 4x4 diff' moves backward, is it possible that the front wheel drive line is damaged from the movement?

Thanks in advance.

It sounds like the pivot bolt and/or bushings (if it has bushings) is worn. I would doubt that this will cause excessive issue with the rest of the driveline, although it should be fixed. Is it a high hour machine? If the axle pivot is that worn, I would imagine that some other things will be, too- you will want to give it a thorough once-over, when you get it.
The MMM is shaft driven. The 6100 wasn't replaced by the 7100- they made them at the same time. The 5100, 6100, and 7100- basically the same tractor, with different hp. They are fine, durable machines, but some of that will depend on the care that was given it. As I stated, it sounds like yours has been worked, so you should expect other worn parts.

Also, the midmount mower has a terrible driveline vibration. Any idea what parts and cost for replacement?

Thanks.

Brian.

1380 hrs. It was well maintained--this thing runs quiet.

Thanks.
