sorry folks apparently the kubota manuals look at a guide or form of bushing as a boss - items 020 & 030 in the attachment diagram - they appeared to be pressed on as they were so tight but after dismantling most of the related linkage parts they actually just fell out-- replacing this linkage is another story and basically as far as I can tell relies entirely on removing the nut holding the cutting height adjustment knob-rod -- I am still waiting on the penetrating spray to work its course. no easy way to hold the rod while trying to remove the nut. What should be a simple job hindering by Japanese engineering and over confident DIYer

AWWW got ya, yep that's a....Boss????... Japanese to english to real world translation is lost sometimes.

Yep a good smack with a small hammer should remove them.
I would plan on getting new ones. ;)

Sometimes working on these it would just be easier to flip them over! :p :D

Hey "Boss" just where do you hit that darn boss to remove it? I'm been fighting with mine all afternoon. Any help appreciated.

Have you removed the linkage?
Hit it from the inside out I do believe.
