Wood trailer decking, what to coat/seal it with?

What have you used to coat and or seal a wood trailer deck with?
I have a 2015 Rice 14+2 open car hauler thats in really good condition but the wood is showing the typical gray coloring/fading. I'd like to stain it and seal it and am looking for recommendations on what products to look into.
I don't want to put any actual prep work into the wood itself, other than power washing it. I'd like to just be able to roll or brush on the product after cleaning and be done with it.

I'm starting to be a fan of deck over, it's a rough surface coating and makes it 100% waterproof.
I'm just not to sure of the wear factor yet.

Because of the rough surface makes it really nice and safe to walk on when it's damp or wet.

I used Sunnyside Deck Wash from Menards. While working in the shade, I put it into a pump sprayer, wait 5-10 minutes, then used a low setting pressure washer to rinse. It didnt hurt the grass. After it dried a couple days, I sealed it with Cabots Clear Wood Protector, 2 coats. Its been a couple years and the wood still looks brand new. It sits outside in the summer.

That's something i need to get, a pump sprayer. I'll look into the Cabots stuff.
I won't lie, i wouldnt mind giving the wood a little bit of color.

If your goal is to preserve the wood, just brush on linseed oil on a hot summer day. I've use that process for oak boards cut at the saw mill. They lasted 30 years, and them it was only one board that split at an angle (and right where my trencher tire had to go).

Just pour it on in the center of a board and spread with an old brush.

Boiled Linseed Oil will probably be the route i go. Simple and cheap ($22/gal).

Not sure if it is as good as the other suggestions here, but I used Thompson's Water Seal on mine.
I've hauled my atv's and building supplies on it since and any time it rains the water just beads on it.

Used diesel oil works best, just don't sit on it[emoji33]

yes used motor oil, its not pretty, but when it soaks in no worries, and if you put it on several times where ever it runs down to is where water will run down to as well so it keeps that place protected. I know the one down the farm is maybe 30 years old and it was old when they put rough cut on. Painted the snot out of it with oil a tad slick when its wet but no rot

LOL...lol. I never really thought about the Sierra Club putting a price on my head. But nothing would surprise me.
I just had a customer here this week wanting a stainless water jacket made for his wood stove. His solar panel doesn't charge the battery enough in December January to get hot water. So he wants to get it off his wood stove. He also informed me that our hot weather is a direct result of folks using petroleum.
I said how do you charge your Nissan Leaf if you have no power ? I use a generator he said !!! Yes he's saving the earth in his own mind.

Not trying to bash anyone, just keep in mind most types of paint are for vertical surfaces. Not horizontal surfaces. And yes it makes a big difference. So be real careful on correct paint type purchase.
