Anyone else like D-Rings I just welded a pair onto my bucket and added a tooth bar I picked up cheap it's only 66" and my bucket is 72 so I had to make a couple pipe spacers but It'll work just fine.

I like the D-Rings better than hooks because it easy to tie rope to or use ratchet straps with and real nice if you want to shackle some nice wide nylon slings onto it.

What’s the s-word (I assume it’s tractor related)?

Good idea I’m going to add that to my tool bucket.

Maybe that's why it's taking that package so long to get there...;)

Any reason why you cant have both? I welded 3 3/8" chain hooks on my bucket, I placed the 2 outboard ones right over the ram area thinking to avoid flex in bucket and one in the middle. Where you have the D rings located would not impeded the weld on hooks in any way. I say do both. I have a bunch of those D rings already, I bought to weld onto my car hauler trailer to lash down the tractor.

My dealer put one grab hook at the top center of my bucket and I added D rings in line with both cylinders. Much handier than hooks imho.

I use heavy angle with slots. They can take different sizes of chain up to 3/8". The chain can be hooked to go to the front or the rear. Strength isn't an issue (that 6' LandPride finish mower in the one picture is proof). A loop of chain enables me to use rope or slings.

I can detach from a load by lowering / dumping the bucket and backing away. this has been handy when moving multiple pieces. Hook up, move, set, disconnect and then position the tractor to snatch the next piece before getting off the tractor.

We sell something similar, plus a few more options as well gear towards tractors.
I remember seeing the 'bolt-on hooks' page before. Nice looking products, priced right too. My thing is, all of my shackles are 3/4" with 7/8" pin, so i needed something to fit what i already have/use. My bucket has a wider flat top, so i'm able to accommodate the slightly larger mounts with 4 bolt pattern.

I have always liked the excavator hook from all of my years in my profession, which can be used like a D ring or open up for cable or nylon slings.
