I somehow lost my key (maybe under all the snow?!?), but I'd love to find a way to get my L2900 started. Any suggestions? I can't seem to find a WSM for it, found for many other models..not sure what else might be comparable... or how to find a new ignition switch...also I've never been able to remove the dash in the past...any help is appreciated!

Your local Kubota dealer will have one. The same key fits many different tractors!

If you have a neighbor with an L model, see if they have an extra key to loan you until you can get to the dealer. One key fits all L's
I do not believe one key fits all L's! I know for a fact an L305 does not interchange with an L4240.

Not pertinent to the above tractor, but oddly enough, a trunk key from a '63 Chevy Impala fits my '79 B7100.

Forgot to mention, Kubota keys are all over ebay.

Teg, when you are wrong about a post why don't you own up to it instead of editing to change what you said to make it appear correct the first time?

If you don't know the answer don't feel compelled to respond to a question!

I lost the key for my L1501 last week. Ordered one from eBay and had it in a couple days. Cost around $10. Well worth it to have the tractor back up and running :)

Not sure on this, but couldn't you visit a Kubota dealer, give them your serial number, and get the correct key?

Yes, keys for equipment are made in a series setup, so a series of switches will all have the same keys with the same cuts, they are not individually cut as like a house key or car key. ;)

Friend of mine has a L3560 about 4 or 5 years old. His key will not fit my 1 1/2year old L3560.
One of the 2 of them is a cab model and the other is not right? :)

Cabbed models have different keys. ;)

My key stays in the tractor . I think it has been a year since the key was out.

If it's in the back yard. The key stays in it. In the winter, the tractor is parked up front for snow removal. So then the key is stored on a shelf in the kitchen :D

Got my service truck buried on a construction site. Customer had a JCB backhoe with extenda boom sitting next to where I was stuck. But I didn't have a key. Or so I thought. Took a couple hours to get the maintenance guy over there to get me out.

Found out a couple days later that the keys for my control panels for my pumps are the same exact key :p:rolleyes: I could have grabbed one of my spare keys for my pumps and dug myself out

Mine are in my jeans pocket or in the winter, barn coat. Dont feel dressed unless my pockets have tractor keys, small pocket knife, and mini flashlight. Oh and phone. Just call me chipmunk :D
