I wanted a machine shed the wife wanted a garage. I have a shop for the B2620 but no room for the accouterments (wife's word for implements).
so we are having a 24x24 garage with a 12x24 lean to. I will post a few pictures of the build.

I love it when a plan comes together!!!!

Keep the progress rolling and the pictures rolling! SFSG!

accouterments = those things than men think they need, but do not - yet gather anyway!

Very nice! You can never have too much space to keep toys out of the weather. Make sure you add lots of gravel to the floor to raise it well above the surrounding areas.

2 in crushed now rolled and vibrated in 6 inch lifts, another 4 inches of 1 inch - and then 4 inch concrete with #4 rebar on 2 foot centers.

Had a stump grinder come in today and eat about 20 some stumps. That is one hungry machine. It is chewing on 33 in Ponderosa in the picture.

Starting to look sweet, you have gotten me in the mood to add another storage building. I had added a 24'x24' extension to my work shop when we got the place, but I'm squeezing everything in right now. Keep the pics coming

I can get the Subaru and Kubota in my existing shop but have to walk sideways. This new building is really going to relieve the constipation.

One of these days we should have a North Idaho/NE Washington meet up. I really enjoyed the Moscow Allis Chambers meet with you and NIW. Fun!

That roof looks a tad low........:D

its a lot easier to build it standing on the ground, than lift the whole thing as one piece. It goes quick from there

I will even volunteer my place for a BBQ, meet and greet day. Just manicuring the 1/2 acre yard extension, and I've got more wood than I need for the big outdoor fire pit.

I look at the pictures of my barn before I moved in and it looks so big!
Somehow, I wanna get back to somewhere between where I am and what I started with. At some point, blessings can look like a curse. LOL.

BearSkinner!
You are only 45 min from me by car... 61/2 to 7 by Kubota.
Sawmill has to go right by my place to get to yours, he can ride in the carry all from here. NIW can bring the wolves. oh what fun!

They use a square metal cap that fits over the pole, and has a hand crank cable rig on them. You can lift the roof framework up in one piece, drill and bolt it into the pole on a block, saw off the top of the pole.

This cap was home made, cap was welded up and then a hand crank boat winch weld to the cap. They have 4 of them and lift 1 section at a time.

Yeah, I hired help to get this done. I quit doing roofs, I have a bad knee that gets aggravated by the sideways work, it's just no fun anymore!

As for a OTT meet and BBQ, I'm always open for that. The fire pits stacked, and I know for a fact you can get 22 seats around it. yard games are all on the side porch ready to go out. I can even place some logs and rounds out in the wood yard, and have backhoe and Grapple games, stacking them.

Bearskinner,
I am up for a meet and greet. Don't know how many N westerns are in traveling range but it would be quite fun to see the faces behind the keys.

I will be visiting NIW soon (July 10,11,12?, not sure yet) so maybe we could coordinate something as a date firms up.

I'm pretty open to anytime, I think we have a trip to Cali planned to visit kids in July sometime, but that's not worked out yet. I've widened the "parking area" between house and shop, and have plenty of room for rv's to park in case anyone wants to enjoy some libations around the fire pit in the evening. Sometime around the middle of July should be absolutely beautiful out here.
