I have a LA 524 Loader, on my l3800, with broken loader arms, I have re-welded the problem a few times, with limited success. I've been quoted $2000 for a major re-weld or $1200 for a new set of arms from Kubota. My thinking is to go with new arms, hence my questions. 1) Has anyone done this before, are there issues I should be aware of? 2) Are the bushing/pins easily remove and replaced? 3) Will I require new bushing/pins or can old ones, be reused?

New arms = New pins, I would even put new pins on the cylinders.

I think this is the first post I have read where someone has broken a loader boom.

I agree with NIW, go with new pins. They shouldn't be very much more for that size loader.

Now for the real question, how did it break and do you have pictures?

I think it works well as it is, the visual impact is brilliant.
I've been using it for many many years, as millions of others I guess.

Damage to arms due to lots of work in rocky ground, we have large and small granite boulders. Prying rock on corners of bucket, is no recommended ***128078;***127996;, but the twisting does eventually break the welds. Repaired a few times with short insert, but these fixes have failed. Less excavation and more Loader work in my future.

Broken welds at crossbras on arms, due to prying rock and digging using the corner of bucket. More loading less excavation in my future! My local service, say pin removal can be an issue, ie torch! All mine will move tested them yesterday.
