Sorry, I have to ask. :)

I have a 2004 L3130. I have a manual type transmission (according to the manual). No HST or GST. I am ready to change fluids myself and can't decide on what to use. I bought it used and everything was supposed to have been done by the dealer I bought it from. I have put maybe 100 hours on it since I bought it in 2013.

I don't want to use the cheapest of the cheap yellow bucket at TSC, because I just don't like to use the cheapest thing available. I don't want to use Super UDT because it costs a lot, I am not even sure it was used in 2004, and I don't use the tractor in the cold. I put my tractor away in Oct and don't get it out till the grass starts growing again. :)

So,

Traveler $32.99 5 Gallon

Rotella HD $59.99 5 Gallon

Kubota UDT $67.03 5 Gallon

Traveler and Rotella is right down the road 20 minutes. The Kubota is gonna take a half a day and more gas to get there and get back.

Just shove UDT in it, you won't have to think or worry about it then, pay to have it couriered? Of course many others will do the job, but if you have any concerns then you know you're good with UDT.
If I read correctly, per the WSM available online, original fill is SUDT, but I may be reading the definition of the "*" incorrectly.

Mystic JT-5 is $33 for 2 gal at Tractor Supply. Some other folks use that; I couldn't say because I use the super udt.

By the way, Six and Mango Kubota (used to be Grayson County Equipment) is only 16 min from Van Alstyne, just south of Sherman on 75.

I am afraid I am on their "list". :)

I had to call and do some chewing after they brought my tractor back after a new clutch. I was not happy with other aspects of the service. Anyway, they might remember me and not want to do business. :) Plus Six and Mango wanted $79.26 for a 5 gallon of UDT. It was Zimmerer that has it for $67.

And I need 11.1 gallons according to the book.

Mystik JT-5, I use it in all of my equipment, yes even my GST and have excellent results from it Hot or Cold! ;)

That's too bad, either Gainesville or Denton are an hour away. Those are the kinds of trips my wife helps out.

Don't know that the guy behind the counter would know anything about the service end. But I understand the reluctance.

In that case I would check out the JT-5. It's at more places than Tractor Supply.

How much fluid is lost when a clutch is replaced?
Can be a lot, because on most models it requires you to split the tractor and that also means splitting the hydraulic lines and the suction line will drain most of the fluid out when you split it if you haven't already drained the system. :(

So drain the system first and you'll have very little loss as you can just put it back in! ;)

Just wondering because I had to get a new clutch a couple of years ago, not many hours ago, and just wondering how much new fluid they replaced then. I know UDT was on the invoice but I am not sure if it said how much. Kinda tempted to change just the filter for now. Last I checked the fluid was nice and clear looking.

EDIT: It was just a gallon and a half.
