So I have both. Here are the pictures. I do not have the quick attach bushings installed yet, so that would raise the Titan hitch about 5/16" more. The Titan hitch will not come close enough to the HF quick hitch for the top pin to fit. I have marked out the area I am considering grinding off of the HF Quick Hitch in one of the pictures so I can use it. Anyone else using this setup and maybe provide advice? Thanks!

From the angle of the photos, it doesn't look like it will clear they lower bolt for the top link attachment even if you grind off the lower corner.

You have to remember, the hook has to go below the pin far enough to take it on and off. The way it is now, you won't be able to get the pin off the hook, by the looks of it. Unless you're planning on inserting the pin after the fact.

Don't grind off any holes that will prevent you putting the top hook the standard QH height above the lower hooks. (Fifteen inches centerline separation)

This is why many users either use the adapter from HF or weld a spacer on the hook so it sticks back about an inch more.

Would the adapter make it lean back too far? Would I adjust the top link to compensate and level out? Thanks for the help.

Here is a top link adapter bracket by Agri Supply. Harbor Freight has one also but it does not show online. You have to call HF and order part #29309 for $15.99. Does anyone know if the brackets are the same? Would this make my Trailer hitch work? I also have a Land Pride RCR1260. Many people talk about needing a floating top link for a Rotary Cutter so I will probably need it for that anyway.

LMTractor Guy, I have had 4 tractors and used a couple of different QH's and never been able to use the hook. I have always used the adapter. It works great and just adjust the top link to compensate.

The cutter probably has a floating link hitch already. For quick hitch use it needs to be behind the A-frame instead of in front of it.

Not sure what you decided to do but I bought the top link you posted and it works great. As others have said, I couldn't get the hook to work so I moved on pretty quick. The only adjustemnet I do is to lengthen or shorten the top by screwing it in or out depending on the implement.

I'm sure it will say I'm the instuctions but the top link, quick hitch and the the adjustable bar, not sure what it's called, all share the top pin. I'm sure you would figure this out but I thought I would mention it anyway.

Please post back what you decide to do. There's been a few questions on here about getting the hook to work and I'm not sure many folks use it, I could be wrong tho. It's just good to have all the info out there for other to see.

The Titan isn't quick hitch compatible. Nothing wrong with the Quick Hitch.

I have ordered the top link adapter from Harbor Freight. I will post pics of it hooked up once I receive it. Thanks for all the help.

as jajiu says it is not usual to find some attachments that use that upper hook. The way i do it is just have some inks made up.

By the way, when buying attachments to use with the QH, it is a good idea to have the dimensions of the QH handy so yu don't run into the situation shown here.

Welding added attachment places on that HF QH should work fine also. It is well built.

Can I use the top link adapter from Harbor Freight or do I need to have them custom made? If you have any pictures of how I would attach the Titan Heavy Duty Hitch using the top link adapter to the HF quick hitch that would be helpful. Thanks.

Can the top hook be turned upside down? It does not bear any weight anyway so if it can work upside down you have the solution.

Armylifer. Good idea, but the 3 point Titan trailer hitch hits the HF QH and will not allow the top hook bolt holes to line up.

I have had times where, in a pinch, I rotated the hook and used it as 'pictured' per the green outline. Try not to envy my artistic skill, here.

But I've both box bladed and brush hogged (both 6') *extensively* with the hook in this position and yes, that was with just one hitch pin in the hook. In my setup, the hook isn't long enough to rotate out of position and lose contact with the implement. As long as you only have down force on the implement, it'll hold. It's not ideal but it worked flawlessly and is more what Uncle Sam taught us as "field expedience." I now use the Harbor Freight adapter in all applications and never use the hook. But if you need a way to get by quick without welding anything, I recommend this orientation as a stop gap.
