Dont have a cab, it would be nice - but a pole barn with metal roofing is about the cheapest way to go. Most garages cannot handle the height of a ROPS or CAB unless the header is at a special height.

With a pole barn, you can get under roof quickly, and then finish the sides if desired later, and even place a concrete slab under after the fact too.

Just make sure of two things, make it bigger than you think you need:eek:.......and make the ceiling taller than you think too!;):)

Well if you get as deeply attached to your 4060 as I did to my 3560, you will find yourself unable to keep it in ordinary surroundings. Mine did not fit in the shed my Ford 8n had lived in, and after a year in the horse barn aisleway I added on a pole barn with concrete floor and overhead pushbutton doors. My neighbor called it my garagemajal... but I love it, especially the concrete floor. All the implements go on furniture dollies, makes life so much easier.

My 16x24 garage is getting a reno, sheetrock inside and spray texture. Couple coats exterior white and it will be a very nice garage/tractor house. Oh, forgot it has running water so its getting a restroom.the barn has pigeons, so kubota cant live there. Was easy to heat last winter, should be better this year. Also my lathe will fit nicely in there.

What are you guys with cab tractors using to keep your tractors out of the weather? Pics are appreciated.
I built a 24-30 Stick built with a 10x9 roll up. Easy living now. :) added a garage door opener too. Remote stored on the canopy.

I don't have a cab either, but I like to keep it out of the sun, rain and snow when I'm not using it. I added a 24' extension to the pole barn, added electricity, and concrete floors. I think you are right, that was the best, having concrete to move the HF Dolly's with implements around. I think I will really enjoy the pellet stove now that it's ready to snow.

We currently have a 24' D x 36' W garage with a single 8' x 16' door. I have my Tacoma, Fusion, Toro commercial Zturn, Kawasaki T4 SxS, and the B3200, FEL, BH76 in the garage, oh, and a 6' landscape rake... I can't walk without tripping hardly, but it's all there...lol We plan to build in a few years and I'm currently clearing our new 5 acre lot in preparation. I'm looking at a 48' D x 58' W (or wider!) with 10' or 12' doors pole barn in addition to having a large 2 car attached garage to the house. I'm tired of being out of space and cramped! I want to be able to back in the truck, trailer, and the tractor or T4 on the trailer and not unload or unhook every time I put the truck in the garage.

24'x32' stud framed. 10' sidewall, 9'x8' oh doors. Floating on concrete slab with thickened edges. This photo is just before doors going in-2014. Fast forward 2016 still haven't gotten electricity to it yet. Just means the bx moves to the attached garage and my oldest teenage daughter will have to move over for the winter.

Gravel on the side is for the camper.

They say if u have the space it will get filled. So is never big enough [emoji39]
When the building gets full, build another one, repeat. Finally you quit building and just place the "stuff" outside.

This is about 3o miles from me. Ran across it on Google while looking for something else.

bcp, Your neighbor makes sure the lanes are open!

When I built mine the contractor said,, son, when you think its big enough add 25% because everybody and their mother will want to put something in it for JUST A LITTLE WHILE,,, wish I had followed his advice :D

Well I built my shed for my lawn tractor never thinking I would get a bigger tractor. When I bought my B2710 it did not even come close to fitting in the shed. Since I could not build another building where I wanted to put the tractor (to close to property lines) I ended up buying a shelter logic garage. This is one of those canvas type garages with the pole subframe. Mine is 10'Wx20'Dx10'H. It is just big enough for me to put the tractor in. I do have to keep the snow off of it in the winter time but that is not too bad. I also keep the implements inside it for storage. Will post a picture later...

I will agree that you always need more room! I started with a 48x24 with a 10' tall 16' wide roll up door plus the man door, added a 24' extension so I'm at 72' now, and overly full once everything started coming back in! Next spring I'm going to have to build a full length lean to down one side, at least 12' wide!

My building is 40x64x10. Not big enough, but nice anyway. Concrete, electricity, water, but no heat. I spend a lot of time there.
