Friend of mine got a 1960's era Unimog out of a mine in Canada. Wants to make it more AG style as many other mini Mogs are. They got PTO's front and rear, 3pts- front and/or rear , snow blowers, plows etc. that can attach to Mogs as well as weapons, troop carrier beds, missile launchers, radio command units, Forestry Fire Fighting or winches, Sprags and other logging equip etc,

Anyway....... the OEM pump is hard to find (basically impossible). We're looking for a generic replacement (belt operated).

Engine is approx 46hp (4cyl MB diesel)
output of OEM pump was around 4.2gpm of flow at max of 2100psi pressure
needs to run of one V Belt

any suggestions on where/what to look for?

PS: Here is his build thread if you care to watch it progress (slowly) http://www.benzworld.org/forums/unimog/2008385-411-mystery-mog.html

Really can't help with the pump search other than say try Surplus Center out of Lincoln Nebraska. But WOW I want one of those. Another vehicle to add to my list of I can't afford one but if I win the lottery you bet.

My recently passed good friend had a unimog, they are an unstoppable machine. He built a massive plow for clearing snow. Quite the machine.

Sorry to hear of your friend passing. If his family does not know what to do with the Mog, where to try to sell it, maintain it orrr.... I got nearly 15yrs of Unimog Connections from all over the world and might can help them out.

I have an old scrap forklift behind the barn and it has a single V belt hydraulic pump. Maybe you could find something like that.

Wow!
I would have to agree, unstoppable. Again another rig that i always wanted to build. Couple diffs and a fwd car driveline, cage and a twisty chassis.

.....Unstoppable- this video is a fine example of that!

That rig was a nightmare. That model Unimog has a potential for 13% of flexion in the frame alone making it one of the most nimble Mogs ever...... and that cage RUINED IT. Next owner gutted that monstrous useless cage and she worked tons better.

Thinking about this hydraulic pump, some semi-tractors use wet kits that are engine driven. Perhaps a search of a highway tractor wrecker may give you a lead. Knowing rotation and displacement should get you in the ball park of what you need.
