Here are two pix of a guide wheel I made for my back blade. I have a 1600 foot gravel driveway and this helps the blade from gouging it. Used it today after a 8 inch snow fall. Wonderful is all I can say!!!

With the swing and rotate of the blade and that gauge wheel you will continue to be amazed! I built a similar wheel a year ago, and cannot get over what it will do smoothing out my gravel drive!

In snow and ice, probably not. For maintaining your driveway, it allows the blade to hang between the 3ph arms and tail wheel. It will skin off the high spots and fill in the low ones. World of difference!
I need to do this so bad on my 6' box blade! I live on a one mile gravel road and since I'm the only one with a tractor, I get to keep the road up.
Where did you get the tail wheel assembly and how much did it cost?

I got the laminated tail wheel and hub from AgriSupply.com, for $38. Fork from the same place, $30. Shipping wasn't bad. 1" rod for the axle, and the fork sleeve, along with about a 10' piece of 3/8X3" flat bar all came from the local steel mill.
When you do it, make sure you put the wheel far enough back that you can still rotate the blade completely around. I didn't, and it is a pain in the butt!

That thing looks terrible, maybe even useless. Why don't I come up and take it off your hands so you can buy a really good one. (BG) Reckon it would fit my bx blade????
