I am with wolfman..... it will not come out of 4wd or it will not move? Throttle does what ? Whine ? Groan? Grind ? Hst or straight? Please explainMy B7200 is stuck in 4WD and it will not move! Is there a trick to get it out of 4WD? Just got the machine so I'm still trying to get everything figured out.
I have only owned it for a few weeks and I have not had it in 2WD. I tried backing up and disengaging the 4WD with no luck. I will get the front end jacked up to see if that does it. Any other ideas?Try backing up while putting pressure on the 4 wd shift lever. If you have a front loader use it to lift the front tires off the ground then try to shift out of 4 wheel drive. If no loader jack up the front wheels. Have you had the tractor in 2 wheel drive at all since you have owned it. I bought a B7100 a few years back that had sat outside. It must never have been in 2 wheel because it took much squirting of penetrating oil and much back and forth movement of the shift lever to get it into 2 wheel drive.
That was it. The detent bearing needed a little oil. Thanks everyone.I assume the B7200 is similar to a B7100. Find the spot where the shifter lever enters the transmission case. Spray liberally with your favorite penetrating oil. I prefer PB blaster. Let it soak for a while then wiggle the lever. Don't force it. Repeat the procedure a couple of times a day for a few days. It should loosen up.
