Won't start (very strange)

The battery is new. The B7800 recently came back from the shop (new transmission) maybe 2 hours on it since the new transmission. It started and I drove it out of the barn to start mowing. I completed one pass. and decided to raise the discharge shoot (mid-mount mower) so it will not clog . I disengaged the mower, turned off the tractor, now it won't start. There she sits, in the middle of the field.
Suggestions?

Found it ! It was a safety switch after all.
The Kubota people, the ones who mind the store on Saturdays did not know there was a 5th safety switch. I called on today (Monday) and got a knowledgeable mechanic. It was not the 2 seat-switches, not the 2 PTO -switches but # 5 a HST switch, very hard to access. It's related to the forward/ back pedals. It was impossible to replace but it wasn't broken. I reseated it and tightened it with some tiny channel locks. vroom vroom. All mechanics get a free pass to heaven.

Are you sure the PTO or MidPTO is disengaged all of the way?

As Jim indicated you have a safety switch holding you up.

Can you explain more about the no start? As in nothing when you turn the key or engine is cranking but not starting? Like others said most likely a safety switch issue but could be a different problem if its cranking but not starting

i'll chime in as well, right along with everyone else above^^^^, the pto lever is not quite in the correct spot to start your tractor. it does indeed have a safety switch on the pto lever that is keeping you from cranking it over. move the pto lever back and forth a little as you turn the key, sooner or later it will crank over. i ran across this very same issue right after i got my used b2100 within a day or two. sure enough, after messing with the pto lever, it finally cranked right up. also, some of these models have a clutch safety switch, and a seat presence safety switch, if either one of these does not make contact right ?, it won't crank over and start.

Perhaps your problem may actually be with the "discharge shoot" .....chute?

Since I posted (above), I visited the Kabota dealer and learned how to hot wire it. Now it sits in the driveway which is a step in the right direction. This means a 65-mile trip to the dealer in a rented trailer if it should come to that.
Steps toward a fix:
1. Replaced the PTO safety switches. nada
2. Replaced ignition switch. nope
3. Jumpered seat safety switches. not that
3. Next up the 1. solenoid, 2. starter or both.
2 Questions: before I hot wire it via the solenoid, I assume I need to activate the glow plug. Then disconnect the wire and spark the start.
If I can start it again (hot wire) I'll do my mowing before I attempt a fix which will mean replacing the solenid since the starter itself is working via the hot wire. Do I have that right?
Did I make any more spelling mistakes?

If you are hot wiring it by connecting a spade on the solenoid to the positive battery cable, that indicates the starter and the solenoid are working properly and they don’t need to be replaced.

Test if you are getting 12 volts or more to the end of the wire (black with white stripe?) that connects to the spade on the solenoid when trying to start the tractor properly. You can just use a meter or a test light. If you can do that with the wire disconnected and then connected that would be great.

You have been firing off the parts cannon and all shots have missed so far, so you need to do some troubleshooting to locate the more likely parts to replace.

I don’t know if you jumpered the seat switch correctly and why you did that really. You can test the switches to see if they are working properly.

It still sounds like a safety switch is not telling the tractor it is okay to start.
