Hello,
I am new here but have done a little searching since becoming the owner of a non running RTV1100C with a D1105 in it. Someone had added a turbo charger at some point.
A little history on the machine. I got it not running, after pulling the valve cover I noticed the rocker arm for the rear cylinder was broken. I ordered a new rocker assembly off eBay, stuck it in, adjusted valves and it fired right up. Compression is decent at ~450 on all 3 cylinders. I ran it like this for a few months until it started spitting coolant out the overflow bottle, I figured it was a bad head gasket. I removed the head to find a bad head gasket, but also a recessed exhaust valve on the rear most cylinder, the same one that had broken the rocker arm, which makes sense now. My theory is that the valve seat recessed into the head, cause the valve stem to come up higher and snapped the rocker arm off.

My question is, where can I get a new head for this thing?
I figure it's not worth sending it out to a machine shop as I am in a remote Alaskan town and shipping can be astronomically expensive.

Do you all have good sources for a reman head, seems like aftermarket ones are a lot cheaper, but I would imagine all builders are not equal. Can anyone recommend a good place to get a reasonable aftermarket head? I am also going to remove the turbo on this motor, I don't see anywhere where it was offered with a turbo, and am wondering if the turbo on a non turbo piston setup has caused some of the issues I am seeing.

I am also open to buying a used head in good condition as well if anyone has one for sale.
Thanks much.

P.S. you can see the recessed exhaust valve in the photo here.

This looks a bit shaky

Not sure if this is better

Be sitting down to look at this one

reach out to @Mountainman and see if he has one
Thanks for the reply, yeah the pricing is all over the place on these. I don't think a genuine kubota one is in the budget for this little unit, so I am looking for reputable aftermarket ones, or genuine used and in good condition. Funky little machines these are....
