Changed the filter on transmission yesterday and I was surprised that the oil went off the dipstick. I thought it would lower on the level on the dipstick some but not right off the stick. I guess maybe the :confused:oil in the old filter and then starting up the tractor and filling the new filter caused it. Seems like I am trying to answer my own question

When you checked the oil lever prior to changing the filter, did you wipe the stick first, then dip it again? That is the proper method for checking the level. I have never had that much of a drop in oil when changing the filter on my B7100, but that isn't a safe comparison, since they are two different tractors. Either way, good thing you caught it and could top it off.
