Tractor lock up

I have a m5400 tractor. The thing has been locking up and stalling the engine but would start back up and drive away never would it stay broke. Today it did it and now it won’t go forward in high or low but I can drive around in reverse. The range selector also now will go completely in low but to shift into high or reverse it seems to only go half way into the slot

The only way your going to know what's broken is to open it up and get into it.
