Unlikely according to specs on the net...
needs 15-35 hp, you've got 13ish...
48" tiller,looks heavy, wonder if tractor can lift it ?
unless the soil is high tilthe(loamy), previously tilled tilled not enough HP to do a good job.
be interesting to hear from actual users though.
one place lists it for $3200 !!! seems high to me.....

Your post says you HAVE a JD 647, so I presume it's not a question of going out and buying one.I have a John Deere 647 tiller, will the 1880 handle this tiller?
If you already have it try it out and see if it stalls your tractor or slips the clutch. Take light passes at first, don't try going the full 7" depth. Your profile doesn't show if you have an FEL or not but your going to need something heavy on the front. If you have acres to till I imagine something will break eventually. If you're only doing a couple 20' rows year after year you might be fine.
If it doesn't work out sell it (like Jay said they are pricey) and buy a tiller more compatible. If you don't have a JS 647 look for something else.

gee downsizing from 27HP to 18 HP rider is a HUGE drop in power !!!
