T1560 steering issue

I got a nice used T1560 today for a great price. The steering is loose in that it wanders around and seems to need a lot of turns of the steering wheel to move the front wheels. I don't have a manual and and haven't found much online either. Any pointers greatly appreciated!

I think this may be the bushings that the sector gear shaft goes through. The sector gear is wobbling quite a bit as the steering wheel is turned. There are two bushing that shaft goes through and they must be worn or maybe even missing. I'll try to get a better look tomorrow to make sure. They bushings aren't expensive but how hard is it to replace them? I've had no luck searching for the procedure.

And the sector gear is $400! Is it made out of titanium or something>
