Hi All,

I've had an SSV75 for a few years now, SN 205XX. The fuel gauge has read full since the day I got it. Finally have some time so I'm looking at it, hoping to get rid of the popple sapling dip stick I've been using.

When the key is turned to run position with the sending unit connected, all gauges cycle/sweep as they should but the fuel gauge stays at the top instead of reading correctly. When I turn to off position, disconnect the sending unit and then turn to run, all gauges sweep and the fuel gauge drops to empty. Splitting the connector at sender and grounding the signal wire changes nothing, gauge remains on empty.

The connector at the sender/sensor has 0.78 volts coming in on the white w/black stripe wire and the black wire has continuity to ground. A service guy told me on the phone I should have 1.87 volts but I'd like to confirm that. Also, I have conflicting info on sender unit ohm range. One service guy said 3 ohms full, 110 ohms empty. Another guy said 10 ohms full, 150 empty, so need to clear up that discrepancy.

On an aside, is there free access to a WSM out there somewhere?

Thanks a bunch!

In order to get you the right WSM, will need the whole serial number and what controls it has.

Serial numbers are not vins, having that number doesn't do a thing beside get the right information.

Sweet, thank you. It has hand and foot controls. Are the numbers on the attached tag what we're looking for? If not just tell me where to look and I'll try again. Appreciate the help.
