I have a BX1850 that's going to be delivered in the next week or so. I picked up a front mount power broom with it. My thought is to run a rear mount snowblower with the broom on the front. Does anyone have experience with this combo? Insight on how it worked would be appreciated.

The broom works great on pavement, but I have a 1400’ long gravel driveway. I go between a front snowblower to a front hydro adjustable blade, and a rear blade.
When it’s light I can blow it far away, and lightly drag the rear blade at a 45 degree angle to leave a nice smooth surface.
When it’s wet, sticky, sloppy, I use the 2 blade method and leave the front blade up about an inch or two while lightly dragging the rear, to clear the slop

My driveway and turn around are paved. I don't plan to use the broom on the sand.

A lot depends on the broom that you purchase. The ones that were sold when that tractor was new left a lot to be desired. They are heavy and difficult to get the balance correct. If you are getting the broom at a steal then I can give you some suggestions on how to modify it to work better. I had a walk-behind broom that was great, but it got destroyed in a garage collapse and parts were not available to repair it. It was great for light fluffy snow. Now I use either a front-mounted snow blade or a front-mounted snowblower. I like the looks of the new broom that was introduced for the 80 series tractors, however, I haven't seen one in person to know if it will work any better than the 2 Kubota brooms that I had with my BX22. I have always found them inexpensively because my experience with the broom was the same as the seller's experience.

I gave 500 for the broom so I won't be heartbroken if it doesn't work.
