right rear axle seal popped out - B2630HSD

I've read (on this forum) of a few other instances of this happening. Saturday (40 degrees) I had been working - using the loader for about one hour, then started noticing the fluid streaks on the ground. The right rear axle seal had "popped out" as others have described. I was able to mostly push it back in with my hand - later towed it to my shop for further inspection. FYI - I had changed the hydro fluid about 1 year ago, using Kubota UDT. Ran the belly mower all last summer, countless other chores since the change. Tractor has 530 hours on it since I bought it new.

I suppose Green Loctite is still the recommended adhesive/sealant to reinstall the seal?

Interesting observation: it's not like most seals I had seen before, the outer body of the seal is not steel; it feels rubberized, maybe its coated - this is where the seal body mates with the case.

Yes green loctite and clean the seal and case with brake parts cleaner.
And check the vent, that's usually what causes the seal to pop.

Well the vent looked open, so I'm not sure. I did clean it really good with brake parts cleaner, applied green loctite and I'm letting it set for a day or so. Got the $100 in kubota hydraulic fluid waiting, so we'll see. Thank you for the advice!

This happened to me too on my B2620. I pushed it in a few times over the course of a few months then I saw the easy solution; was I wrong to put screws and washers in those threaded holes? (M10 or M12 if I recall correctly) The washers hold the seal in quite well.

Interesting "fix", I can't see it hurting anything at all.
