I've gone through belts and tension springs and at least one spindle is making noise even though it doesn't have any wobble. So, I guess it's time to consider replacing bearings. Is there a good Youtube video or thread someone can recommend?
You might not be able to detect 'wobble' if you don't release the tension on the drive belt.
Check my other reply today on this deck regarding the spindle bearings.
I have been running Chinese spindle bearings for a couple of years, and yes, they're noisy.
I just keep them well-greased, and am happy when I don't have to replace them this week.
Meanwhile, I got Timkens on the shelf.
Thanks for the reply, Paul. I guess I can live with the noise but new springs don't last 10 minutes before they snap so I was thinking the bearings were trying to tell me they're the problem.
