I'm new here but I have had my Kubota for 6yrs its a great little Tractor up till last summer when the steering box broke.I went to my local dealer and while they have been a great help they tell me the shaft and bearings are discontinued for it. So I went to the Internet to see what I could find and came across Kumar bros... while being pleasant on the phone I really don't believe they have my best interest in mind. I purchased the shaft and bearings kit and a week or so later they showed up which was longer than they said ,funny how they're a 2 hr drive from me,anyway... I pulled it apart cleaned everything up well put it back together as I was instructed to and it broke 2 months later again. Called them again they did send a new shaft did the deed again but yet again it broke .so here I am with it broken again and no support from Kumar bros because they say the 1st one is out of warranty now and I would have to purchase another shaft from them. I'm basically looking for some advice as to where I can a more quality part and service help any help would be appreciated before I buy more junk thanks Tom

I have bought from these folks before. It looks to me that they would want to get the shaft back and send it to their chinese suppliers for analysis and upgrade, as well as promote good customer service. Aah, I guess the new global marketplace will never be the as it was in the old days.

Go into a little more detail as to what and how it broke, Pics are great.

It's hard to believe (though not impossible) that you have gotten 2 metal shafts that are so bad that they don't hold up for more than a few months.
I think you have an underlying issue, like another part that is causing undue stress on the shaft.

I have heard and seen factory shafts break for all sorts of reasons and it usually involves another part that has failed. ;)

I had my my neighbor who works on equipment also look at it and he thinks it that I may have had it a little tight but if it was a Kubota part there wouldn't have been a problem but with sub standard machining and metal it blew apart plus if you look at tubes inside there are gaps where the bearings could bind up also

But I was also wondering if there is another Tractor with a power steering box that's compatible that I could convert mine to power steering before I spend money to rebuild this box again

I wouldn't know about power steering, that would make for a major project. On the other hand, for what it's worth, I had a similar problem with a Ford 1210 a few years back. Rebuilt the steering box, it broke. Had it "professionally" rebuilt, it broke. Again, OEM parts NLA. Some patience, a little custom fabricating, and I replaced it with an aftermarket replacement box from Ebay said to be for some L series Kubotas. I see there are a lot more to choose from these days. Here's one you might consider. Don't know what would be the difference between HST and nonHST, but where there's a will there's a way.
