I'm attempting to install #70000-00297 Block Heater Kit on a L1802DT. The left middle freeze plug seemed like it was a possible location but after removing the starter and installing the collar it looks like there is no clearance to put the starter back on :( So I would like to remove the collar but I hammered it in pretty good with Loctite green retaining compound. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I’d probably try some heat around the outside of the collar on the block while wiggling the collar with some vice grips. Idea is to heat up the block so it expands and the opening goes along with it loosening the friction between the 2. A slide hammer would be helpful too.

Tap it side to side lightly, it will pop right out.
If want to make 100% sure you don't damage it, pipe plug in it first.
The other thing that works is thread a length of pipe into it and wiggle it around and it will come right out.
