Refurbished Tongs

I got these off ebay last year for a steal. They were pretty scaled with rust, but for $35/shipped, I'll take them.

After a bath in Arm & Hammer Laundry Booster and the assist of some wire, an anode, and a 12v automotive battery charger, after 24hrs the rust was gone.

I gave them a squirt of paint.

At first I said wth !!!!!!! They are backwards!! Then MY brain said - wait a second - you thoughts are backwards!!!

I have a set that I bought many years ago - great to pick up trees and logs.

In early Spring I mounted up the Boom Pole and shackled up the tongs at the end, then I tossed a few hundred pounds of ballast in the FEL. The test was to remove jammed up logs from a bend in the creek. The tongs worked good, but I may modify them and add some scissor plates so they're easier to use.
