Would like to apply a set of Pat’s Quick Hitch’s to a 2005 Kubota L3430. I’ve seen posts where it may be necessary to buy an extended top link also for the setup to work properly. Can someone confirm or deny this and please advise of the needed top link required? Thanks in advance.

My guess is it’s going to come down to actual measurement of your top link at max length to compare to someone’s that has a problem top link length length. I have a B (I know not an L)…I too heard I would need a new top link, however so far (knock on wood) it’s been fine and that is across 6 implements.

I have a Pat's QH on my B7500 and did have to get a longer top link. The top links that TSC carries solve the problem and are not expensive.
Yes you might need a longer toplink... and in some cases, you may need a longer PTO shaft, too. Depends on what implements you are using... IF you need to use extreme angles on your implements (Most people don't) The box blade, to smooth out land, you would extend your top link to empty the dirt from the box, and "ride" on the rear facing blade to smooth out dirt... you might have a problem there...
There's a good chance you'll be fine with the top link you have.
PTO shaft should be roughly 6" over lap, 4" works (make sure you never bottom one out). you need to know what overlap you have now.

Before I installed a hydraulic top link on my L3301, like “mendonsy” above, I bought a longer top link at TSC. It was just about perfect to compensate for the Pats.

I have Pat's on my BX and the OEM top link works fine with my implements, it just needed to be turned out about another 2.5", which is 1-1/4" per side and still leaves plenty of threaded rod inside the turnbuckle.
To do this properly I removed the top link and turned each eye-rod in all the way, then reinstalled one end on the tractor and held the other while turning the turnbuckle to lengthen the link; this turned out both eye-rods the same number of turns which is what you want if your rods are the same length. What you really want is the same amount of rod in each side of the turnbuckle.
If you pin on the Pat's QH and not bolt them tight you can see if your top link will reach your implements, if it won't you can unpin the QH and get a longer top link, if your OEM top link will reach you can continue the rest of the QH install.

Put the Pats on some years back, fortunately I did not have to change anything
However when I did need a new PTO shaft, I remeasured for the Snowblower and did end up longer..
My old one after being repaired, thanks to NthIdahWolfman still works as a backup, but the slightly longer new shaft "Feels" safer.
I haven't need a new top link for any of the implements I run

I installed a pats quick hitch on our B2601. My top link was OK for all of my implements. But I did have to get a 6 inch extension on my PTO. To use my land pride, rotary cutter. everything works fine and I love Pats quick hitch.

On my old JD tractor, I had to buy a longer top link once I installed Pat’s hitch. On my current tractor I decided to forgo any kind of quick hitch because the telescoping lift arms make it easy to attach implements.
Installed Pat's on my L6060. The standard Kubota dealer hydraulic top and tilt kit top link was too short for reaching implements. I measured the amount that the Pat's extended my lower 3 point arms (4.5 inches in my case) and had a local weld shop fabricate a tractor side extension bracket. Works great and easily removable if necessary. Good luck.
