over pressuring filled tires

Hey Orange owners,
New to the tractor. I have a BX1500. Recently had rear tires filled with rim guard. Used a few hrs w/out issue but next morning bead had failed and rim guard all over floor. Brought back to dealer who told me to "really pressure" the tire to ensure the bead holds. Says its necessary with filled tires. Kubata specs call for 17lbs. He pumped to almost 40 lbs of pressure! Seems to be holding OK. I don't notice much in way of rough ride, but I run it very slow all the time. Retired and in no hurry . I use it on level and sloped lawn, which is why I had the tire filled, for stability. No fields or woods or anything like that. I searched the forum but can't find answer to this question: Will running the tires at that pressure damage the tire? I see comments that it could but nothing about what it will do to the tire. How will it damage it? Is it safe to run at that pressure? Any and all feedback will be very much appreciated.

I am not sure what problem from that amount of air pressure would cause.

Personally I would be trying to figure out why the bead failed if the tires were very recently filled. Low air pressure - either under inflated, not sealed/seated or a leak that led to the bead failing. If a leak, some thing wrong with tire or rim? Or did you run over something in a the few hours of use and damage the bead/rim/seal? If not get to bottom of that it’s just a matter of time till it happens again IMO.

My tires are filled and I run them under the recommended PSI for for a softer ride. I have never experienced any leakage. Make sure you sort the issue while its still under warranty. Good luck

Over pressured, filled or not, increases the likelihood of a puncture if you run over something. Tires can go over small stumps and stubs easier if they can give and deflect little.

If you don't run over anything it will just ride rough as hell.

I'm running 10 PSI in my filled tires to try to soften the ride since I use it on rough terrain. So far the bead is holding fine.

Initially, inflation to max pressure listed in the tire can help seal the bead. They should then be set to the appropriate pressure.

I run 12 psi in my filled, R4 tires on my BX2380. "Normal" pressure for unfilled rears on my tractor calls for 17 psi.
