Ok, it's not a tractor question but it's orange and a Kubota

I have a KX-033 mini-ex and I'm looking to get a tiltable ditching/grading bucket (36 inches). I stopped by my local Kubota dealer, saw a used compatible bucket sitting in their yard. Eureka, or so I thought. They stated that since it was a Kubota bucket, it was $6200 new and they would have to charge me over 4k for the used, beat up one. I have been pricing new ones from Ahearn, Mongo, and Rhinox @ $3000-4200. I am assuming that dual cylinder models are better than single cylinders. Does anyone have any experience or recommendations on these companies or their products please? I purchased a Mongo ripper blade previously and am happy with it. Thanks as always.

If I'm thinking about the same ex, it's around 25 horses. Before I spent more than $2k on a bucket I'd run it by a welding shop to see what they would adapt one I furnished.

Hey there Jaxs. Yep, very happy with the KX033. Tninking mine is 23 hp. Got it used with less than 100 hours. Just shy of 4 tons ( so I can trailer it with no CDL), no cab, rubber tracks, hydraulic thumb. Very handy on the tree farm for logging. Suspend a log with the bucket/thumb and buck up in the air at waist level. Minimizes bending over. Ditching/grading/stumping of course. Handy for loading/unloading equipment from trailer or dump truck. Do wish I had the adjustable angle blade but can't have everything. It is a bit underpowered for larger stumps but I can't complain for the price. I'll rent a big ex this summer to pull out the bigger stumps left over from logging.

Want the tiltable ditching bucket to make drainage trenches and grading. The hydraulics easily double the cost over a non-tiltable bucket. Expensive yes, but increase in efficiency will pay off in long run. Just want a reputable, reliable tool for the money. Good luck with your search.
