* WHAT...Heat index values up to 101.

* WHERE...Portions of northern Connecticut, central, eastern,
northeastern, southeastern, and western Massachusetts, and all of
Rhode Island, except for Block Island.


* WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

I had planned on drilling the hole for the last I Beam today. I went out to take off the extension and put back on the 18" auger. Yeah, by the time I walked to the backyard to gather all my tools and get the tractor I decided it wasn't a good choice. Instead I spray painted the 3 I Beams - as high as I could reach for the 2 that were planted. Not exactly strenuous work but by the time I got into the house I was soaked.

The heat is miserable.
I've never seen so many fights, shootings and people killed on the road here the last few weeks.
The heat affects people.

Its just a normal summer here but we only have 2 seasons , hot & hotter.
I hate the reporting ng of the “ heat ndex “. 1980 & 2011 was extra hot.
