Besides standard and metric o rings and grease is there any other items I should have on hand if needed for a B2601? What to you all have in your onboard toolbox?
+ 2lb. hammerRocky, welcome! Some folks attach to their tractor every hand tool they own, I think!
I have a very small tool box on the tractors that have a simple pliers, adjustable open end wrench (often referred to as a Crescent wrench), lynch pins, long pins for top links, flat bladed screw driver, box knife.... that's about it.
Be sure that you have the two correct o-rings for the fuel filter.Besides standard and metric o rings and grease is there any other items I should have on hand if needed for a B2601? What to you all have in your onboard toolbox?
A dead blow plastic hammer is very useful for changing implements.Rocky, welcome! Some folks attach to their tractor every hand tool they own, I think!

I take possession of it April 28.Update your profile to show your new tractor!!! Congrats!!!
All the above mentioned tools are great ideas. Thanks for all your replies. Anything I’m missing for in the shop for regular maintenance?
Extra long pry bar will fit easily in loader cross tubes.Extra lynch pins, large slip joint pliers and a BFH. I often wish I had room for a pry bar. Sometimes you just need that little extra ooompff!
This is a whole nuther question and possible can of worms. Some are happy with a rag and a grease gun, others will have nothing less than a full blown metal shop. Opinions are all over the place here depending on your equipment, experience, and budget. You'll find your comfort level after a while and run into a few "gee I wish I had one of those".Thanks for all your replies. Anything I’m missing for in the shop for regular maintenance?
( "blow out the air filter, radiator/MMM" ) etc.)This is a whole nuther question and possible can of worms. One important item I've found necessary is a good torque wrench and socket set. CHECK THE WHEEL LUG NUT TORQUES five minutes after they deliver the tractor and swore up and down they checked them before delivery!!! Put a permanent line across the lug nut and bolt so you can quickly check if they moved at all.
An air compressor and digital air gage is pretty handy also. Blow out the air filter, radiator, MMM after every mow. I check tire pressure at least once per month.
I'd love a ZT but with Social Security under attach and tariffs tanking my 401K I don't have the budget. We all must do with what we can. I'm extremely happy with my little BX1880 and surprised at the amount of work it's able to do, including mowing. Now if I can only find a "nice" used landscape rake at a reasonable price...Better yet,...buy a ZT mower!
