Sadly STELCO ,well the original STELCO.... tore down #2 rod mill decades ago. it was the first steel mill to have 'electronic' speed controls for the 'rollers'. Used SCRs instead of vacuum tubes. Pop was electrical foreman for crew of 22. Used to catch salmon from the water inlet. He's been gone 4 decades now, ovee 1/2 my life.

Yeah about 25 years ago I worked for a commercial builder = 20 ft sticks of #5 were not bad to pickup up and move - we used a bunch of # 12 !!!!! that stuff you only picked up on end and dragged it to where you needed it!!!!

Awwww that's such cute little rebar!

Many many years ago I got some of that size of rebar and made a gandy crane lift out of it to pull motors.
