I was lubing my L2800 yesterday when I came across a fractured cable and I have no idea what it is for. It is a wire cable in a sheathed jacket, 24" long, connects from the foot brake linkage at one end, then goes under the transmission and the other end connects in the middle of a s-load of links and levers coming out of the opposite side of the HST. Both ends of the jacket have 2" of threads making it adjustable in their respective mounting brackets.

I haven't noticed anything not working so I am baffled. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks guys. That's it, #120. Never have used cruise control. Yep, I just checked, the lever is there but if you had asked me yesterday, I would have denied I had cruise.

Where did you get that great parts breakdown sheet? Are they available online?

I'm in Canada so do NOT have access to Kubota USA's website, so what NIW will work for you.

I don't know IF you can access Kubota Canada's parts finder....

be interesting to know though....

Nope, not unless you have a CA IP.

Just a little more information... what it does, when you have the cruise control running, if you hit BOTH brake peddles... cruise control lever will be canceled (physically the lever will be pulled back to neutral). If you only hit the left or right brake, cruise will still function as is. Great for quick "U" turns!!!

And Cruise Control was standard... not sure when that changed, I know it changed when the next model, L3200 came out but not sure if the L2800 "Extra Power" (2008) if it was standard or was an option.

I'm curious about the use of cruise control. I've never applied the lever on my tractor, and have never seen the need for it. Where and why do you use it? (I know I'm weird, I don't use the CC on any motor vehicle, ever.)

To be honest, I don't use it much... when I do use it, I just use it just because it is there. Never a "need" to use it.

If I am mowing and the grass is uniform and cutting easy. I'll push the CC lever and relax my ankle from the HST peddle....

I have to finish mowing my pasture in the next month or so, I'll see about getting a video of it in action....

I have a throttle lever near the steering wheel that sets the speed the same as the peddle, so if I'm going down the road I can use that to hold RPM and no need for foot use. Maybe because it's a Grand L it has more functions then I use, even the stall guard, I set it and leave it.

I use mine when using the 3pt sprayer in the yard makes speed regulation easier and the application rate consistent
