I have a MX 5100, 2 wheel drive. I raised the bucket up and locked it up with the locking lever. It seemed hard to move the lever back to the normal position, with some effort I got the lever back to the normal position. The loader now moves slow up and down, but the operating lever moves side to side and the bucket operates correctly. Any suggestions? Tractor has about 250 hours and has been operating just fine until now.

Disconnect and reconnect the hydraulic couplings to the loader valve.

I'm not familiar with the locking mechanism for the loader on your tractor, but I would look into that also. Is it possible that it hasn't fully released?

The Lock on that model is really simple it's just a sliding pin.

Thanks for the help. It was the locking mechanism, I bent it trying to move it back to the unlock position. I took it apart and bent it back with my vise. Everything working again.
