Mulching Kit or Chute Blocker?

Just got to use my new GR2120 for the first time and it was awesome. Coming from a 2WD Simplicity, this thing is like a billy goat on my slopes. But due to pavement and flowerbeds, etc, I need to do something about the open chute.

On the old tractor I had run a mulching kit. It was ok. I'm something of a lazy lawn care guy, so I'd often have to take the chute block off (it was really easy to remove on the Simplicity) if the grass was too wet or long.

So my question for this time around: should I do another mulch kit, or just get a chute blocker and some gator blades or something?

I haven't seen much specifically for the GR2120 on here, but sounds like the mulching kits aren't very popular on the subcompacts. Still, if the chute block on it is easy to remove (quickly!), I'd probably consider it. I also found a company that makes a chute blocker that can be opened or closed with a foot pedal, and will fit my tractor with a little bit of drilling. That in combo with some gator-like blades seems ok.

Primarily, beyond keeping grass out of areas that I don't want to throw it, I like to mulch my grass, but I will sometimes let it grow too long for effective mulching. I also have plenty of leaves to mulch up in the fall.

Any suggestions appreciated, thanks!
