My friend and neighbor, whom I have adopted as my stepfather, has 3 M6800's. One with a regular 8 speed transmission that he bought new in 1998("the old tractor," and two with shuttle shifts ("the bucket tractor" and "the new tractor"). We were told that "the new tractor" was a 1999 when he bought it last year, having had it shipped from Kentucky. Last year, while raking hay, we noticed that "the new tractor" seemed taller, and we can't, for the life of us figure out why. We were chalking it up to tire life at first, but upon further review, they are pretty close in wear (same make and model). We measured the spacer blocks between the frame and axle, they were the same as well. Every time we switch to another implement, we need to readjust the tongue jack on the the implement to match the drawbar. the new tractor is in fact about 2" taller. Can anyone shed light on this?

Thanks,
Matt
