We had a grappler delivered and hooked up in our M6060 on Thursday and spent about 2-3 hours working with it. Then Friday spent about 4-5 hrs working with it.
when we went to put it back in the barn Friday evening we hosed the tractor off really good and then when we put it in the barn we had almost no brakes. Brakes prior to hosing it off were fine.
brake pedal to the floor. We added hydraulic fluid but still brake pedal goes to the floor and no braking. We pulled it out of the barn this afternoon to check it and to stop it we had to stand on the brake and take it out of gear.
Any suggestions or ideas?

Look at the linkages between the pedal and the tractor that connects the pedals to the brakes.

Here's the troubleshooting section for the brakes from the WSM for the M6060/M7060.

Unfamiliar with brake line routing.

Could you have damaged a brake line while using the grapple?

Something is not adding up....
What happens when you push in the clutch pedal?

I need the serial number to know what variant of M6060 you have.

We have the m6060hdc.
The clutch works fine and is able to change gears.
Could it have anything to do with it being in 4wd and then taking it out of 4wd?
The part that doesn't make sense to me is that you said you had to "take it out of gear" for it to stop.
Pushing in the clutch pedal should have done the same thing.
If had to shift it to neutral for it to stop that leads me to believe that the clutch is not disengaging and out powering the brakes.

The brakes on that model are purely mechanical.
Did the unit get run with the parking brake engaged and burn the brakes out?

Washing it, or running it in 4wd or 2wd would not make the brakes just suddenly not work.

Let me clarify. I’m sorry, my husband was driving and he wasn’t being clear on what happened when he put the clutch in. So he pressed the clutch in to put it in neutral so it would loose momentum and stop. So pressing in the clutch wasn’t stopping it just making it loose momentum out of gear.
I’m getting ready to go up and mess with it myself.
We added hydraulic fluid yesterday since it was low since adding the grapple. I’m hoping maybe the hydraulic fluid was just low and maybe that’s why the brakes were soft and pedal going to floor.
thanks for the help. We are new to this and learning.

Hydraulic level has nothing to do with that brakes not working on that system!
Losing brake completely, something serious is happened!

Unfortunately there's on information in the WSM for the low budget mechanical brakes that we have in our M6060 tractors. I suppose that on the bright side they're kind of basic so should be easy to troubleshoot.
