Have this issue almost every year with these tractors. We wash, rustproof and lube on a regular basis and primarily use these tractors for snow plowing. They are definitely put through the elements but in general I'm finding the engine area rusts far quicker then any other parts of the tractor.
We're talking 2020-2022 model year tractors with their alternators seizing right up. Kubota introduced a new guard that is supposedly supposed to help prevent wear on the alternator but it does virtually nothing. Multiple units all having the same issues year after year and we're looking into solutions to help prevent this. Aside from regularly washing and lubing these areas - what can be done to reduce extra wear on the charging system?
