M120 transmission code

I have an M-120 with about 5000hrs. The clutch has been quite aggressive and jumpy for a little while. Just the other day it started to error code with an "n" flashing in display with 3 beeps. This goes away when both forward/reverse shuttle and range selector are placed in neutral. It doesnt happen if you dont use clutch and just use the shuttle. Any thoughts would be appreciated. The error code with the "n" flashing is more concerning. It could be related to a neutral safety switch or a problem with the transmission control module. I'd suggest checking the wiring and connections around the neutral safety switch. If that doesn't solve it, you might need to get the codes read with a diagnostic tool to pinpoint the issue.

Thanks for the reply. I should have been more clear to state that the n error code comes when the clutch is engaging with a lurch so Im assuming they are related.
