M 9000 fuel solenoid won't respond

I have removed the cowling around dash for visibility. I see no broken wires. Solenoid did chatter occasionaly but not when running. I understand this may be a diode issue but I cannot locate one to replace. What's up ?

You need the WSM, it will walk you through troubleshooting.
The diode going out would be very rare.
The relay or solenoid is much more common.
