I've read conflicting info regarding this on various forums and hope that someone can clarify here. For the LX2620 with the LA535 loader, are there differences between the two buckets offered (other than the width)?
The 60" bucket has a decal on the rear that references 'light material' usage, and I've read that the construction of the 54" bucket is more robust.
My use for this loader will be to move gravel, large rocks, dirt, etc. Not scooping sawdust on a concrete floor.

Would really like some clarity on this, as I'm not concerned about the rear track width exceeding the bucket width.

Both, the 54 is build a little heavier and because of it's smaller size it can better handle heavy materials.

60" bucket works fine for me...and I use it hard. It'll lift a full bucket of whatever you have in it.

a slightly different model but i too survive with the larger bucket while moving mixture of light material (fluffy snow) to heavy dense material like pea gravel.

But I and my team players are careful and kind to our equipment.

For sure the 54" will take more abuse but would guess the 60" outsells the 54" for many reasons ranging from mostly preference to need.

For a rental fleet hands down 54" to handle rookie users and abuse. For an occasional homeowner with reasonable skills 60".

re: 60" no need to slam into piles or stumps and if handling heavy material simply fill bucket to 80% and Bob's your uncle .

I have that same 60" so called light material bucket on my LX4020. I added a bxpanded piranha tooth bar to it and it is plenty strong digging and carrying a full load of stone or dirt. The LA545 loader on my tractor has only a very slightly higher lift capacity than your LA535 loader so I would not worry about that if you go with the 60" bucket, as long as you have loaded tires and a good counter weight on the 3 point. However the piranha tooth bar does greatly reinforce the bucket cutting edge so I can't comment on how well the original cutting edge would hold up on its own.

I've had (3) 60" buckets, two on B2601's and one on a LX4020... I've used / worked them all in various ways, and have never had an issue with any of them. *I say used / worked (maybe even hard), but not 'abused'!
'If' I were buying another machine tomorrow in this size tractor I wouldn't think twice about another 60" bucket. -just my two cents....

I think the 54" has an optional bolt-on edge, which I'd recommend for your usage. If you want the 60" bucket, you'd need an aftermarket edge, either a piranha like @bobnic mentioned or a straight one. In either case you'd have to drill the bolt holes.
