Attached is a photo of a leaking hydraulic cylinder on my bx2357a sweeper. I want to replace the seals, but not sure what seals to order. I find no identifying numbers on the cylinder and don't see a part number in the parts diagram.
I think the hydraulic system was a add on, and don't see a part number for that either.
Do I have to take it apart to determine the bore?
Any suggestions regarding special tools or things to watch for while rebuilding would be most apricated.

thx mike

Is it leaking at the fitting on the head end where you have the cup under it? If so you may be able to just tighten the fitting or replace the o-rings.

If it's leaking around the rod you will have to take it apart and measure the rod seal inside the gland. I have had good luck with 0rings and more for ordering seals by size and type.

My B2782B snowblower lift cylinder began leaking and could not hold position under load anymore, so looked into taking it apart so I ordered the Kubota rebuild kit. The part number I believe is stamped into the cylinder somewhere. I could look the info up if needed, both the cyl and rebuild kit P/Ns.

Once the kit arrived I dove into it and started to take apart the cylinder, to find that one needs likely expensive and specialty tools and the knowledge how to wield them , or I'd very quickly destroy the $800 cylinder completely.

Unless you're knowledgeable, experienced, and equipped properly I'd strongly recommend a reputable hydraulics shop rebuild your cylinder.

I took mine with the kit to Dynamic Machine & Fluid Power 90km from me and the $150 labor bill was WELL spent, IMO!

The cylinder has been rock solid for 2 seasons now.

You have a BX2537A sweeper with a BX2761 hydraulic angling kit. The parts list shows it as 2"x5" stroke, ~$550 and no repair kit shown. If you can get it apart, you should be able to get parts from a hydraulic shop. It's not welded, is it?

I'd probably measure everything and see if I could buy a new cylinder from Magister or somebody else.

Thx! looked it up, $60 for several O rings. Messick's does have
installation tips, that's a plus.
