Hello everyone I stumbled upon the site while browsing for tractor issues. I have a 23 L3302HST. I noticed today my right side hydraulic cylinder moves from left to right on the pin. The left side does not. Can this be repaired or does it need to be replaced? I’d rather fix things before just throwing parts at the issue.

Very Respectfully,
Brian

Not a problem. A little 'play' keeps from exerting a side load on the cylinder.

Agree with PTB, not a problem.

Your handle intrigues me, were you a "CT" by any chance? I retired from NSG in 1990.

Were you ever assigned to an EW or VQ squadron?

as said, normal.

I've seen guys shim them to try to fix it though. I guess it bothers them "that" much?

And I've seen many questioning why in the world Kubota would do that, and why they used cheap "sheet metal" to mount the upper ends of the cylinders like that. I'm fairly certain the engineers know what they're doing so I just smile and move on.

as for the play, you could add 'shims' to MINIMIZE the left-right play.
you need a LITTLE play(gap) but NOT a 'lot'. excessive play will increase 'wear and tear' depending on loads and lifts.
