I am planning to buy a loader for my L2500DT. I am fairly mechanically inclined, but I am concerned about how to "tap into" the hydraulics. Is there a place on my tractor that allows me to plug into an existing port some place, or will I have to cut into the high-pressure line?
I have watched this forum's video on this subject, but the video is not specific to the L2500.
My tractor is a stock unit with no remotes or anything.
Thank you in advance for any guidance you can offer.

Some may be able to give you a simple answer. Since I do not know your tractor and because you have not told us much about it (HST or Gear), power steering, I am going to suggest you educate yourself a bit by going to Kubotabooks.com and downloading the WSM for a 2501. I assume this is the series of tractor you have but I do not know for certain.

Go to Tractordata and see the spec's for your tractor.

http://www.tractordata.com/farm-tractors/008/0/8/8085-kubota-l2501.html

I see hydraulic pump flow of 5.15 gpm and steering flow of 3.13 gpm.
If there is only one hydraulic pump you do not have much left over for a FEL. Is there one or two hydraulic pumps?

Tell us about your planned loader acquisition. New or used? Make and model.

Some owners of smaller tractors find it necessary to have an engine driven pump for the FEL.

Look in the WSM for the term Hydraulic Block as this is the most common access to hydraulic power. It is a plate like device you buy.

Others will join your thread. Most, unlike me, are not sitting in front of their computers on a Saturday night :)

It's easy you just get the adapter block and hook up Supply and PB to hydraulic block and return to the rear fill port. ;)

You get closer I can tell you the part #'s of what you'll need. :)

Dave,
There were only 2 models made a DT and an F and he said DT.

It's also much older than the L2501 (2014-present), L2500 were made 1998-2000.
Getting the WSM for an L2501 would do nothing but confuse the living snot out of him! ;)

His L2500 has a flow of 4.6 gallons and perfectly capable of running a loader effectively. :D

Thank you both for the replies. I apparently presented myself as though I don't understand any of this, but I have done a bit of research on the hydraulic systems of tractors, and on the abilities/capacities of my tractor, which I have owned for two years.
As noted, this is definitely not an L2501.
To provide more information...
It has a manual transmission (only option, I think), and has power steering.
The single pump, which I believe is 4.6 GPM (as Wolfman noted), should be enough, as these were sold with Kubota LB400 loaders (I believe an LA450A also applies). I am fairly certain that L2500DT was sold with BOTH a loader and power steering.

I am looking at a Westendorf TA-111 or possibly TA-160.
I am also interested in a used Koyker 155 that is for sale (at the moment), but would have to get a joystick and the right mounts for the L2500DT.

I will use it for general small-acreage chores.

I am somewhat familiar with hydraulic blocks (I don't have one now), but am unsure if I need one, based on Service Department Vic's video.

Thank again.

Oh, one more thing, just in case someone is wondering; I'd rather not find a tractor that already has a loader. I like this tractor, and it only has 425 hours on it.

That's the wrong part#, different tractor, and most likely different dimensions, as the part numbers do not cross over.

You want these:
Block 75546-68110
Back plug 75541-68150
(3) 90 degree fittings 75541-68160
Rear plug O ring 75541-68160
(2) Block O-rings 75541-68130
2 Bolts and lock washers M8 x 1.25 x 65

I think you'll find the block and plug price a little scary, I know I did!

N.I. Wolfman,
You have the same part number for the 90 degree fittings as the Rear Plug O-Ring. I'd appreciate your time and effort to post the part number for the 90 degree fittings.

Thanks

Hello, Where can you purchase the part #32400-99810 for a L2500D ? My local Kubota dealer says those are discontinued.
Probably going to have to make one. I believe it replaces the block off cover and it should be easy to lift the dimensions off that cover. Just a chunk of aluminum with two bolt holes and two drilled and tapped ports.

Please note that block takes pump output off ahead of the main pressure relief valve so your loader valve MUST have an inlet pressure relief with both tank and power beyond ports.
