When I shift gears on my Kubota L2850 GST 4x4 with a loader, there is a notable 1-2 second pause before the new gear engages.

It may or may not be connected but my loader is quite slow.

I'm planning a hydraulic oil and 2 filer change. Will this resolve the shifting issue?

On my B72oo there are normal filer canisters and also screens that need to be cleaned when doing a hydraulic oil change. Does the L2850 have screens like this in addition to the filter canisters?

There is no screens.
The loader hydraulics and three point are on a different pump section than the GST and PS, but they do share the same fluid and suction.

The delay is normal, and expected, there is a way to shorten that delay some but it involves test equipment that is not easily available.

The delay could be fluid or pump related and you would only know this if you test the hydraulic pressures?

If the delay keeps getting longer and longer then you could have an internal issue like the seals on the Hydraulic clutch pack.

It does seem to be getting longer but that might be my imagination.

How do I test the hydraulic pressures? I bet I need to buy a hydraulic pressure tester. ;-) Any suggestions?

There is one part that is needed that you can not get, to measure the clutch pressure.
But let me see what the work around might be.

The rest of it can be tested with a 5K psi gauge, a 1/4" NPT to 1/8" NPT adapter, a 1/8" grease gun whip, a 1/8" NPT female to male 1/8" BSPT adapter.

I would start by changing fluids and filters and see what that gets you.
If you need to get into it to fix it, it's a 8.5 out of 10 on the difficult scale to get to the clutch and to rebuild it.
I requires a lot of parts to be removed and juggling of 85+ o-rings (no that is not an exaggeration) in order to get it to work properly on reassembly.

You could have a suction line leak, allowing air in. There's a short rubber hose connecting the suction line to the filter/pump. Check it and tighten the clamps. Also, when you change the filter, make sure there's only one gasket and the sealing surface is not damaged
