Hi i have just picked up a Kubota F2400 front mower with a D1105 3 cylinder diesel i was told the head gasket was gone and possibly the head cracked. I am sure the previous owner dropped all the water and oil and then left it as when i got it it had no water or oil in it at all.

Today we pulled the head off and found the gasket had blown out and that one of the cylinders had water in it from when i filled the radiator up. We cleaned it out and to me it doesn't appear that bad but i am no expert.

There is a little scoring in the piston liner and the piston has some pitting in the top of it but not that bad. The piston is not ceased as it was turning over and trying to start but never would have due to the water in the back cylinder.

I have attached some photos of the bore and piston and was wondering if anyone could give me some advice as to if a product like JB weld would work fixing the top of the piston and the small cracks in the head as i don't have much money and would like to get this thing going on a budget if possible.

I will add photos of the cracks in the head tomorrow morning as my mate took it to see if his dad can fix it at work.

Thank you in advance for your advice and help.
